The last two weeks we had guest speakers who greatly differ in their approach to dealing with doubt. Dr. Larry Day challenged us to be really honest with our doubts. He did not challenge us to hate our doubting selves but to “like them” as a part of who we used to be…. but then he admonished us as to the virtues of "help my unbelief" Mk 9:14-24 and how not to stay in doubt but to grow in our understanding of our new identity.
